What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I began my farming experience interning on an organic produce farm that specialized in tomatos. I've fallen in love with working the land and sustainable agriculture, and have spent the last several months traveling through the southwest and learning at several farms. I've gotten experience with goats, cows (dairy and beef), sheep (wool and meat), chickens and turkeys. Animal husbandry is what I'd like to focus on the most, but I love learning anything I can. I have also done some building projects involving cob and cordwood.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I'm hard working, enthusiastic, and want to learn and contribute as much as I can. I'm not afraid to get dirty and live in rustic conditions.
My name is Bruno Giesemann. I run Finca Argovia, a certified organic , RA, and Bird Friendly farm in Tapachula Chiapas, close to the border with Guatemala, to the Tacana Volcano and the pacific ocean. We run a diversification program, with tropical flowers and foliages, coffee, fruit trees, some spices and tourism.
