Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
Volunteering my spare time at an urban rooftop community garden and wwoofing on an organic farm.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am hard working, reliable, and looking to share and learn as much as possible.

I am travelling with my partner of many years and best friend, Sophie.
Sophie studied at art school and is passionate about film making, she has been making short videos of the garden we are involved in as well as music videos and other topics she is interested in.

I have been working as a silver engraver and with computers, but I would garden all day if I had the chance. I also like to fix bicycles in between riding them. We are both excited about a change of environment and spending more time working outdoors.

Soon we will return to New Zealand with everything we have learnt and to contribute to our own farm and community. We see wwoofing as great opportunity to learn about a culture and how to connect closer to the environment.

Ey good to hear from you and welcome to mexico a huge country
with very diverse cultures u will sure learn alot most of the projects
in mexico are only beggining and i didnt quite take the time to describe
Why i started the project and what we are trying to achieve.
So the main reason for me was running away from industrialised
lifestyle for my own health and joy. The projects main idea is not to rely
on outside workers which eventually are needed mostly to learn
and then apply. We have the advantage that some people in our area have had
previous experiences in agriculture and they are open when
it comes to questions. I think the tropics are a place in which
if well managed nature can give us way more than what we need
with only a little care. So its not only about lemos and mangos i barely
had time to add comments on the page its papayas guanabanas anonas rambutan
chicozapote zapote mamey chinin shuko carambola tamarindo cocos moringa forestry
and i plan to have a fish pond once the fruits start production.
also my idea is not to think to much in terms of market demand
im planting this fruits because i like to eat them and if there is a good
price they will be sold.
so for me it would be best if u come the second week of december.
Hope u have a great time here.

saludos
