Hola!
My name is Kaitlin and I am a recent graduate and a (very excited) first time WOOFer! I am originally from British Columbia, Canada, though I am currently living in San Francisco. This will be my first time wwoofing and I am extremely excited to learn everything I can about sustainable living and agriculture as well as the Mexican culture and language. I have experience in the forestry industry of Northern British Columbia, but I am curious to learn about the ecosystems of different parts of the world. I am interested in learning what it takes to live entirely off the land so that I may return home able to share at least a small portion of that knowledge with those around me. I am especially concerned about the well-being of the earth and believe that if everyone had a small bit of knowledge about sustainable living we could not only stop but reverse the damage being done to our earth.
I am eager to learn more about the Mexican culture as well! As of now my exposure has been limited and I am excited to learn about its history, culture and customs from the locals! I am also looking forward to improving my very, very basic knowledge of the beautiful Spanish language.
I am looking for a real local experience where I can take time out to observe and honor and live within another culture.
