The farm is just starting. The idea is to build an organic orchard, a dry toilet, rain water capture system, vermicomposting, and other permaculture principles. San Ignacio has a tropical weather so there is a lot of humidity... You will see bees, spiders, scorpions, snakes, ants, and many other wild animals. We will help you know where you can get assisted in case something happens, but you have to know that prevention is something you will have to be aware of all time. The idea is to also have chickens and goats for milk and eggs production. The place is empty right now. We are a couple working in it and we need help to start building the project, I prefer someone with only lots of energy to work and if possible some experience with permaculture. You will help me build everything from zero at this early stage, so you would also be involved in the research part. You will be asked to work the equivalent of 35 hours per week (some of that time will be spent in doing research or will be distributed between am and pm hours).
Accomodation: Two bedroom house with several beds/ hammocks, bathroom and a kitchen. The house doesn't have electricity. We have a little solar panel that will provide energy to charge your phone and your laptop. There is no internet. For light we have solar lamps. You will be provided with basic food so you will need to cook for yourself at least one time a day, and once we start producing food will be obtained from the farm.
From San Ignacio you can move to San Pancho, Sayulita, Punta de Mita or Puerto Vallarta.
You will need old clothes to work (boots, pants, long sleeve but fresh shirts) and also clothes for the day to day, bathing suit.
Minimum time is two weeks.
Maximum time would be depending on how well we get along and how good you are at managing the weather.
If you have any other doubts let me know.
