DESCRIPTION OF THE FARM (SIZE, CONDITIONS, CROPS, PROJECTS, ACTIVITIES, ETC)

                The terrain of aproximately 9 hectares, with a tilted zone, adjointed to dam. It is 600 mt away from a small town (ranchería). This used to be a deterioreted terrain that is currently on a first stage of recovery. We currently harvest food and water. For that purpose we have diverse plantations amongts vegetables, cereals and forage; since we also rely on small animal raising such as rabbits, quails and hens. And also bigger animals such as: cows, lambs, horses and donkeys.

PROJECTS:

                a) Commerce: The project is to increase the vegetable plantation area in order to sell the products in the nearby towns and small cities, as well as in the city of Guadalajara; and at the same time to provide an increased value to the by organic production and means in order to give susteinable jobs to the inhabitants of the nearby towns.

                b) Social impact and employment: Actually we are counting with 7 fixed laborers working on diverse activities on animal raising and vegetable and cereal harvesting.

                c) Permaculture: Likewise we are reforesting the zone with some fruit and ornate threes with the purpose of building living barriers to protect the terrain from the wind currents.

WORK REQUIRED FROM WWOOFERS:

                Help with the building up of composts (vermiculture). Feeding the animals. Collaborating with the fertilization of fruit threes using the application of leafs surplus.Elaboration of natural insecticides for plague control. Weeding/vegetation clearing.Diverse activities (cleaning up, material haulage, etc)

DESCRIPTION OF ACOMMODATION AND MEALS PROVIDED: We have 2 bedrooms with individual beds, showers, composting toilet and regular toilet.There is plenty of space for camping.

                Meals: Breakfast: coffe, eggs, cereals, yogurth, tortillas, seasonal fruits. Meal: Salads, soup, beans, chicken/rabbit/pork (depends on production).Dinner: Fruit, cereal, bread.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OR ANYTHING A WWOOFER SHOULD KNOW BEFORE VISITING OUR FARM:

                RULES:The usage of tools and materials should be with care and respect. Leave everything on its right place.To Keep up clean and tight communal and personal spaces.Use of any kind of drugs are prohibited.No abuse on alcohol.Respect the official hours of entering and leaving the property. Follow the indications of the supervisor of each area/activity. Minimun stay: 1 week. Maximum stay: 1 month
