Farm's Location: Los Cabos Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Description: 171+Hectaria ranch property nearby Los Cabos and the Sierra de Laguna mountain range, Baja California Sur. Peaceful place surrounded by nature. We pride our ranch on the respect of silence, it's quiet. We have no internet, (however there are spots on the property where you can get telephone/internet signal). Limited solar, just for charging electronics and lights at night. Seasonal birds and wildlife depending on time of year. Tons of medicinal native plants to learn about, nature walks and beach trips. Two sources of spring water coming straight out of the mountain fresh and clear. Warm days and cool nights during winter/fall season.
Tent campers welcome. We also have a trailer and a room which availability depends on the volunteers we are hosting. We've also already built a basic kitchen and an ecological toilet. Must enjoy nature and being far from civilization. We have the most amazing sky at night! We'd like to receive respectful and conscious people who enjoy to work (very physical work), to observe nature and to farm (work with animals and plants). It's important that you can drive (not mandatory) as we are travelling sometimes too, so you might have the entire ranch for your own!
We expect 8 hours of work, 6 days/week. Chores consist of planting, watering, attending to the vegetable garden, native (reforestation), as well as working the old fruit mangrove (mango, papaya, guayaba, lime). As well as meal preparation, cooking meals and cleanup. We raise our own meat, so duties may include assisting in processing on butcher days. If that is not your thing there are other chores that will also be available . Drying fruits, Milking goats, making cheese and yogurt,Collecting eggs, feeding, watering the dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, goats, and turkeys.
We eat a variety of foods, and love new ideas and input towards meals. Please let us know if you are vegetarian or have special needs, so we can be sure the resources are,or can be available
