What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I am afraid I do not have experience in Organic Farming per se, that is why I am here! :) I am eager to learn! However, I have little knowledge of agriculture in general, as my father worked in the field for years and sometimes he took me with him to show me what agriculture is about and what revolves around it.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
As mentioned above, I do not know a lot about farming. Yet, I am willing to learn and able to fit in with the lifestyle of the farm. I speak Spanish fluently as well as English and Italian. Thanks to my work experience so far, I gained the ability to establish and maintain good relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. I am deeply interested in sustainable development, and I believe that WWOOFing will be an amazing opportunity to learn, share, and treasure best practice in this field. I am innovative, highly organised and self-motivated, with a diverse skill-set and keen attention to detail. I have a passion for human rights issues such as women's advocacy work, indigenous rights, labour children, and refugees. I am passionate about empowering others and realising organisational objectives through utilising my strong communicative skills. I have a deep interest in social engagement brought about by visual arts (documentaries, graphic novels, street art), and my long-term objective is to explore effective ways that trigger people engagement with human rights advocacy through visual art media.
