What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I study Environmental Studies at Oberlin College, with a focus on Agriculture and Food Studies. Outside of school, I have worked with several organic, urban agriculture organizations. I farmed with Global Growers and was a camp counselor at Truly Living Well (both in Atlanta, GA). And I have volunteered with George Jones Farm and Black River Organics near Oberlin, Ohio.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am passionate about food and its production, and see both as avenues to affect more widespread change. I am a vegan, and for the past three years have cooked and ate in co-ops in Oberlin. I also enjoy playing music, and working on and riding bikes.
