What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have WWOOFed on two organic farms. In the summer of 2014, I WOOFed on the Neem Karoli Baba/Hanuman Farm in Taos, NM. In the summer of 2011, I WOOFed on Salamander Spring’s Permaculture Farm in Milledgeville, GA. At the University of Missouri, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Soil Science and a minor in Sustainable Agriculture. During my education, I learned about soil and water conservation practices; how to sustain and improve soil health and water quality, as well as agricultural practices that promote ecological integrity. Throughout my academic career, my roommates and I also shared an organic community garden plot. I studied a lot in a classroom setting and am inspired to acquire more knowledge in a hands on setting.
