What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?: I worked as a wild-land firefighter, this included chain saw work of all types, general forest management, extensive digging and use of tools such as pulaskis, hoes, axes. We also had to set up and coordinate extensive hose and sprinkler lays as long as 3000 meters. In my hometown Portland, Oregon I regularly volunteer at community gardens and have spent short stints working on farms in Eugene, Oregon. As well as this my mother was born and raised on a small farm in Israel and has taught me much of what she knows. I also keep a home garden where I grow a number of herbs and vegetables.

What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?: Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?: I am from Portland, Oregon in the USA, I studied International Development Studies at university and very much want to learn more about sustainable development and sustainable agriculture. I love to be outside backpacking or camping. I like to play music of all kinds. I can speak Spanish and am very excited to speak it often again as I have not lived in a Spanish speaking for a few year. Very excited to get to know Mexico!
