What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have over 10 years experience owning, managing, consulting, working and volunteering on organic farms and gardens. I am most familiar with mixed vegetables and fruit crops. I have worked with small to large scale vermi-composting systems, and thermophilic and bocashi, as well as the application of EM and compost teas on gardens and farms. I am a former owner of a mixed vegetable CSA in Ontario, as well as a green gardening company.

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
In June 2015 or 2016, I am embarking south from Grovedale, Alberta to the Highlands of Guatemala with my two mares Jingles and Roxy. 5000 miles of hope is the name of our trip. Our goal is to address malnutrition, promote food security and the right to a healthy diet for all. I am fundraising for the Guatemalan organization UAM for their work helping farmers go organic and access better markets. I would like to visit and interview as many organic growers as possible during my 12-18 month trip along the east side of the Continental Divide. After the trip is over, I will be writing a book and making a documentary detailing the adventures and insights. I look forward to meeting you.
