What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am 20 years old and was born and raised in San Diego, California. I discovered my passion for growing plants when I took my first Horticulture class in my first year of college. From the classes I have taken in the Horticulture department, I practiced planting trees, different ways of propagating plants, and learned basic care for plants such as pruning and knowing nutrient deficiencies. On the days that we did not have specific plans for our labs we helped out the head growers in the plant nursery. I have also taken a few Botany classes where I learned the biological make up of plants, and learned about indigenous medicine and cultural uses of native plants in California that were used by the Kumeyaay tribes. After I took an Ethnobotany class, it sparked my interest in harvesting healthy food which lead me into looking at organic farming programs. I love traveling, being a part of other cultures, and would love to also have the chance to practice my Spanish. I’m a hard worker and a friendly person who is looking for an awesome experience!
