What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?: I have already scheduled to stay Finca Los Portales, a farm in Spain, from January to February. Then I’m leaving to stay at Primrose Farm in the UK (http://www.primroseearthcentre.co.uk) in February and March. And I have just applied to stay as an intern at Punta Mona in Costa Rica in April.

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?: My name is Espen Sagen. I am 21 year old male, from Norway. The last three I have tried to study economics in Copenhagen, psychology in Oslo, and Physics in Trondheim, but didn’t feel like either was the right thing for me. Between the studies I have worked as a substitute teacher at an elementary school, which I love. I am still working there, and have promised to work till the end of December. About 9 months ago I was introduced to Eckhart Tolle’s book The Power of Now, and it changed my life. It made me realized that I spent all my time and energy on things that were not good for me or anyone else. I want to learn more about myself, and start living with Mother Nature as you are doing at Punta Mona, and help others do the same. Therefore I want to learn about sustainable organic agriculture and permaculture, and share this and the teachings of Eckhart Tolle with the rest of the world. I like to go hiking, run, play soccer and volleyball with friends, relaxing, and have just started to enjoy some yoga. I like to travel, and try new things. I took my second year in high school as an exchange student in Seattle, USA. And I have been many places on holiday with my family ever since I was a child. After studying psychology in 2008, I traveled in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, southeast Australia, and Fiji for three months with two friends.
