Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have just finished a degree in international Relations, with a particular focus on Climate Change. I have studied environmental movements in the UK such as 'Transition Towns'. This movement aims to help towns become more self reliant, and less oil dependent. Promoting local food is a huge part of this. I have volunteered at the Eden Project in Cornwall, which aims to promote the public's knowledge of where their food comes from. I am a keen gardener, though perhaps on a small scale. My passion for promoting sustainable and conscientious food production would be demonstrated in my hard work and dedication. I am eager to learn, share ideas, and work productively.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am easygoing and helpful. I speak Spanish - though not fluently it is enough to get by. I love music, reading, running, yoga and food with friends. I think too few people know where their food comes from, and too few know the true cost of their meal: often I don't. I want to!
