What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have some experience volunteering on organic farms in my local community in Indianapolis. The majority of the work included weeding, planting, and harvesting a variety of produce. I have worked both outside and inside of hoop houses. I have also learned how to lay the foundation for raised beds. I have also worked for a few different vendors at local farmer's markets throughout the city and the surrounding areas to sell produce and make connections in the community. I have basic level knowledge about farming but am eager to learn more.

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
My name is Kelly and I am taking a three month trip to Central America with my fiance Paul. We currently reside and manage the Indy Hostel in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our surrounding community has wholeheartedly embraced organic and urban farming so we already have an appreciation and passion for this type of work. Our goal is to take an intentional trip so we are able to return and integrate some of the skills we learn into our home and community. We are eager to continue to learn about sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly practices. We are conscious about what we eat choosing whole food based meals and eating organic and local as much as possible. Kelly also really enjoys cooking and being creative in the kitchen cooking meals that are healthy, uniquely spiced, and based on holistic nutrition principles. We are both very excited to travel to Central America and are sociable and hardworking people so we are excited to make new connections and meet new people along the way!
