What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I don't have any experience in organic farming yet and that is actually the reason why I joined the wwoof network. In my daily life I try as much as possible to do things in a sustainable way and wwoofing just seems to be a nice way to take this concern to a whole new level. I would be very pleased to experience this on the field by learning the methods that are applied by local farmers. Furthermore, working in an organic farm just seems like a nice challenge to travel in a sustainable way and learn to get to know Mexico from the inside.

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I'm a Belgian girl who speaks fluently Dutch, French and English and has a good basic knowledge of Spanish and German. My companion speaks Dutch, French, English, Spanish and Portuguese and we are planning a sabbatical period within the next few months. We would be very interested to combine travelling with a great working experience in Mexico. The Wwoofing network captured our attention because this seems like a perfect opportunity to do meaningful work in a great, sustainable environment. But we are also very interested and curious to see how farmers deal locally with the challenges of their natural environment and the local economy. We are willing to learn from them and as well would like to put our fierceness to their benefit. I'm a social assistant who has accompanied and trained job-seekers for several years but who has also led a team of other assistants and organised events and trainings. Additionally I studied inter-cultural management and following to this, I worked as a volunteer in Argentina a couple of years ago. I'm currently working as a multilingual customer service assistant who's now looking for a new and totally different challenge.
