Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I am incredibly invested in learning more about permaculture, and feel food is the missing link to global healing. After living and learning in an ecovillage in Tamil Nadu, India, and Anse-a-Pitres, Haiti, I am looking to gain hands-on experience in bio-intensive farming in a land of rich culture. Although I have never WWOOFed before, I have experience in: Water conservation (bunting, swales, gabion construction, green infrastructure) Organic gardening Keyhole and raised bed garden design Composting and vermicomposting Native tree planting and tree nursery care Soil rehabilitation and erosion control Dry composting toilets Recycling and waste management I am incredibly eager to learn more about all aspects of agriculture and natural building construction, and look forward to gaining as much real-world experience as possible. As a recent graduate of the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, I am now working to learn conversational Spanish and the principles of Permaculture before venturing to Central America.
