What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have done WWOOFing work in Australia and also in California. I used to be a science teacher in California for 6 years. I taught environmental science for two years in the mountains at an outdoor school and worked as a naturalist. Then I worked in a project-based learning school where I taught science with an environmental emphasis. Our main project of the year was publishing a magazine called Urban Ecology where we reported on sustainability in San Diego and researched all types of methods of sustainable development in general..

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am super interested in natural building techniques. I love learning about plants in any way, especially permaculture ideas and practices...and have recently found interest in cooking. I believe in food as medicine. I´ve been living in a super urban place for two years now. I live in Guanajuato, Guanajuato where I teach at the university and spend as much time as I can also working as an artist. In the future I want to work again in natural sciences and thus want to sharpen and improve my knowledge. Basically, I want to learn more about the earth, myself and new people. Improving my spanish is also always a top priority.
Hi thanks for you offer to help but I dont feel we are ready to have you at our farm as we arnt currently living there now and it is pretty tuff no showers cook with fire ect ect not many woofers can hack our place I think you would be better of starting elsewhere.

Hi Nicole, I noticed your inquiry for the farm San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and I wonder if you ended up going? I am a female from California, planning to travel alone. Did you travel alone? If so, I'm curious about your experience. I'm a bit nervous but feel if I find the right farm it will be OK. Thanks for any help!
