What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?: I have worked with a private landscaping contractor here in Portland for roughly 6 months last year. My tasks usually consisted of yard matinance, such as weeding, pruning, planting, raking, and other smaller chores. However on multiple occasions I assisted with the removal of dead limbs from trees. I also attented United Bicycle Institute here in Portland, but I still need more experience in working on bikes.

What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?: Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?: I have lived all my life in the US, and only been to Canada in terms of international travel. I want to see more of the world and different cultures! I also feel that here in America we are experiencing a food crisis. The vast majority of our food is genetically modified, soiled with various bacteria, extensively processed and transported thousands of miles. These are only some of the issues that I believe have not only negative health and enviromental implications, but also signal spiritual problems as well. Every person came from the earth, and I think that many people forget that and rarely experience a meaningful connection to the force from which they were made. I would like to learn the ways of sustainable lving, and hopefully provide an attractive example of such to those around me. I feel comfortable in predicting that community based, organic agriculture will be an important aspect of life in the decades to come, and I want to be a part of that movement. Oh ya I also took two years of spanish in high school that is waiting to be utilized! Hola! Yo toco la guitarra!
