What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
Hi everyone, We are doing a road trip around the very beginning of October of this year (2011) driving all the way from Brooklyn, New York down through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, all the way to Chile. We are hoping to keep our contact with major metropolitan areas as limited as possible and in turn focus on smaller, more rural communities where we believe we can get a better taste of a country's folklore. The plan is to spend about a month in each country (could be more), traveling around hoping to learn and experience as much as we can. Also, we pretty much would like to do some volunteer work in organic farms on our way through central and south america. We are able to stay 1-2 weeks or more depending on how many other farms we volunteer for. We are both knowledgeable about gardens, building shelters i.e. Chicken coops, green houses, and are very much interested in finding people who are into complete self-sustainability and permaculture. We are looking to learn more and exchange any skills to your farm. My boyfriend is completely bilingual, and I can get by on very basic spanish, I'm still learning.. We do have a dog, so anyone that is interested in hosting us as volunteer must have a soft spot for our dog Raymond. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you! Teresa y Al

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
Looking to join other organic farms and learn more about other methods of sustainable living, cob building, gravity fed water systems, etc. Want to experience the real Mexico, by seeing and involving ourselves in rural areas, meeting new people, and learning and sharing our skills whenever possible..
Hi Thank you for your interest in our farm . Our situation has recently changed and we are not at our farm full time only about half the week. I don't feel that we can guide you that well at this time. You all look like nice folks and I wish you the best.
We have 5 dogs on the community premises and a group agreement to not invite more dogs ( a few, except mine, are pretty rowdy). Otherwise it would be lovely to meet and work with you in my almost sustainable setting. Water capture, recycling, biodigestor, rabbit-work-composting are my focus. You sound like a seasoned and courageous couple. If you land a wwoofing site around Tepoztlan (there are six places, I believe) do come by and visit...I was raised in NY, born in Calif. and have been hosting people in my ecovillage home for 30 years. Call 739 395 5019. Good luck.
Hi Again, I recently had my first set of woofers and despite us not being able to be there the whole time it went surprisingly well. If you all are still interested perhaps we can work something out. Let me know what you think.
Hi!!!I started my trip on the 26th of march, and just wanted to share tips about dog friendly places for wwoofing, helpxing and workawaying:-) I'm in a farm in Puerto Morelos full of friendly dogs, the owner's name is Carlos Loria Borges, and if you'd like to wwoof here just know you'll be welcome with your 2 doggies. My Baraka, and me of course, we're very happy..Ciao!!!!!!!!!!!
