What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have gardened on my own and been involved with many environment and sustainability organizations at my university. I am currently involved in a plant science research lab, a children's learning garden, a group based on diverting food waste called Food Not Bombs, a student horticulture club, and am on a committee devoted to creating ways to make my university's campus more energy efficient.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am very passionate about environmental issues and food security. I plan on earning a degree in Rural Sociology with a minor in Sustainable Agriculture. I want to come to Mexico to immerse myself in Spanish while having the opportunity to contribute to and learn about Organic and Sustainable farming.
Thanks for your interest on our project!!... I'm also on the move... we took some wwoofers in during months of february, march and april and it was great!!... Now a days I'm planning also my move to get some courses done and offered in the next months... actually I start a project in Colombia first... cross my fingers and back in august we'll start receiving wwoofers again!!.. hopefully you'll be interested and available by then...
Hi Clint!
Yes I think these guys will definitely need help after I leave. In the moment I'm the only volunteer working with the families of the coop...it's another wwoof farm but you have to email them as the page isn't being manned anymore - nuhusehe@gmail.com
