Thus far in my life all travels have been as a tourist (Italy, England, Austria, France, Mexico, Kenya), but I've reached a point where that only brings so much fulfillment. My pursuits as a traveler have evolved to a desire for understanding a culture through direct involvement. WWOOFing feels like a great way to get to know the people and the languages of I'll encounter as I explore ways of living that I haven't yet experienced.
