What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have my Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a concentration in environmental studies as well as microbiology. Through my education I have explored the relationship between society, and biological, chemical processes that maintain our ecosystem. I have assisted in the Watershed Research Project with Portland State University, which coupled education in maintaining and enhancing resources of the watershed throughout the community with the collection of high quality data to maintain the water quality and watershed resources. Sustainable living and growing sustainable foods an essential element to the future of the agricultural and farm culture. I am ready to gain hands on farming experience and gain a greater understanding of sustainable food systems.

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I have been in Mexico for nearly 4 months, attempting to learn spanish, learning about the culture and history of Mexico, and working. I spent a month working on a organic coffee plantation, probably my best experience in Mexico thus far. I loved the opportunity of learning all the processes and working in many different areas on the farm. It was also such a unique experience because I was able to work with and develop relationship with all of the local Mexican families living on the farm. I am very energetic and have a passion for life. I love knew experiences, learning, and working hard.

Hello Jessica, Iam Jackie and for the moment Iam a voluntter in finca Argovia, I most say that from a personal view It would be really exciting to have you here, but Argovia may not be the place youre looking for, since here is a coffee plantation and food in general is not grown. There's other fields you could help out and we also have a water treatment plant and lots of riverin case you want to teach us about your experience in watershed resources =). I know it may be late and you probably have new plans, but Youre welcome to come for the dates you planned we have one last bed in a shared room for you.

Let me know,
Jackie

Hey Jess,

sorry for the delay...Crazy last few weeks...I am now in Peru in the Amazon...just recently lost my debit card...but should be sorted out soon...had a few more minutes than usual to reply. So no go with Anna...guess she decided to stick with her boyfriend in DF. She replied a bunch but kept saying she wasn´t sure if she could meet me for some reason. What a tease! My Christmas and New years kicked ass though in DF with a new bunch of friends I met. Spent christmas with a family! Loved it...and the spanish has picked up much more. keep learnin and igualmente...stay in touch...just so you know...Lima seems kinda more dangerous than Mexico city...keep up your guard when you visit!

Hey Jess...
I am in Ecuador now...making my way to Quito after what has been an awful wwoof experience there. I should have guessed by a cheesy name like Neverland farm...fucking hippies that smoke pot, cigarettes and basically don´t do anything...even more than at Argovia...
And you...que pasa? Are you checking out another farm in Mexico? It looks like I am heading back that way as I am not finding what I am looking for here!
maybe well cross paths...
pick up any more mexican boys...you must have by now!
