I live on a small urban organic farm where we raise chickens and tilapia in an aquaponic system.

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I have 30+ years in education, teaching Spanish, connecting school age children with community organizations through service learning projects, and as a middle school principal. I am currently taking a leave of absence from my position to WWOOF with my daughter, Zoe. I want to use the next four months to think deeply about sustainability--a topic that is meaningful to me personally as we cultivate our own urban farm, raise chickens and tilapia in an aquaponic system, compost and live simply. It is also an important theme as I work in educational reform and support teachers and students. I have experience mountaineering in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and building trails. I practice yoga. I look forward to learning more about Mexico and speaking Spanish as I get better acquainted with my neighbors to the south.
