What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
My partner and I are on a longer cycling trip around the world. For the next 4 months we will stay in Mexico and do some wwoofing, we like to help in different kind of projects and explore the beautiful country. On our long bicycle tour we met so nice people along the way. They did share their house and even feed us. Trough wwoofing and other volunteer organizations we like to give something back. Skills and hobbies: bicycle maintenance, house painting and renovating, cooking, gardening, house maintenance in general and they call me a cleaning-witch ;-) traveling and learning from different cultures and people, laughing and dancing, playing games, music, conversations, cycling, hiking, history/geography. My mother tong is German. I speak English, and a bit French. Trough wwoofing my Mexican-Spanish will improve quick ;-) My partner and I are on a world cycling trip. We met so nice people along the way. They shared their house, they feed us. So we like to give something back. With the very nice idea of woofing, I hope to learn a lot about organic farming and getting nice experiences.
Hello Monika, Your project sounds great. if you want to work with vegetables and the soil, learning how to build fertility and work with Mayans here, then you may be interested in this experience during December. We would be happy to host you then. Keep in touch about your dates. Cycling is wonderful, congratulations! kippy
Great, Monika,
You don´t have to bring anything extra than what you´re traveling with. Come to La Casa del Pan on Calle Real de Guadalupe #55, which is in the Centro Cultural El Puente building. That´s where you can sleep in a dorm at the back (which has room for 4 people, in two rooms). Everyone knows Calle Real de Guadalupe, which is the historic street leading from the town square ("zocalo") to the temple of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Happy trails! The mountain road up to SC from Tuxtla is a long, tough climb. Check it out first. Kippy
Hi Monika,
Monday December 13 is good for your arrival in La Casa del Pan. Ask for me or for our manager, Laura Vazquez, and we will feed you and set you up in your lodgings, which you´ll share with one other WWOOFer. Have a good trip and we´ll see you soon! kippy
