What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
Our family owns and operates a mixed farm.We are currently obtaining our organic certification for our livestock, vegetable and grain production. We are members of our local farmers market, where we sell our produce and meat year round..
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
For the last 20 years we have owned a mixed farm in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia(Atlantic Canada). Our farm has been mainly centered around chicken and beef production, field crops, forage and grain production. We have recently changed from commercial chicken production to free-range, anti-biotic free practises. Our beef(20-30 head cow/calf) has always been natural and grain-fed. We grow a wide variety of vegatables, especially squash and pumpkin, as well as grains, and we sell our produce at our local farmers market.(year-round). We are continuing to work at our comlpete organic certification so we can provide healthy, locally grown, natural food at a small, community -based level. Over the last few years, my husband and I and our four kids (20's) have had various amazing experiences, travelling and also working through the HelpExchange network.(my husband and I on a farm in Spain, and our children in Ireland,France and Portugual.) I am healthy and hard, working and am interested in all aspects of the growing and cultivation of food at a small, basic and grass-roots level.

Hello Amaranth, Thank you for your reply. I understand that it is best for you to have your workers stay for a longer length of time. Unfortuneately, I can't come for the 3 weeks, I'm only available from the 17th to the end of the month(my mother is visiting here until then) Again, thank you for your consideration anyway. Paula.
