What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
We are part of a Nahua community which is the last Native town in Mexico City. We have our own Indigenous government, 96% of our territory is forest and everybody here is a farmer.Nuestro Tapazolli o Nido crece desde una visión compartida y por la pasión por una relación más plena y armoniosa con el mundo natural que nos rodea. Nuestra casa es también un Nido para la revitalización y estabilización de la lengua Nahuatl que se habla en nuestra comunidad. Nuestra misión es abastecer nuestras necesidades (alimentos, combustible, medicinas, diversión…) sin comprometer la capacidad de las generaciones futuras (humanos y de otro tipo) para alimentar a los suyos. Mirando hacia adentro, buscamos sanar nuestra relación con nuestros propios cuerpos (un bioma entero en sí) a través de la nutrición holística. Y mirando hacia el exterior, buscamos sanar los paisajes dañados alrededor de nosotros por medio de la reconstrucción de suelos y restauración de los ecosistemas - a través de la permacultura.. Me llamo Marc y soy de Barcelona, tengo 28 años y en unos meses (Mayo) voy a ir por sus tierras como inicio de un largo viaje, y estoy muy interesando en poder aportar todo lo que pueda a cambio de un sitio dónde dormir y comer.
Si pudiera trabajar en su granja durante un tiempo le estaría muy agradecido.
Le contaré todo en lo que esté interesado sobre mi si tiene un lugar en su granja.
I am going to Mexico from the end of april to the end of may to backpack for a while and I would like to add an organic farming experience to my trip. I am ready to work for a maximum of two weeks. I have volunteered for three months in Peru in a small community building ecological stoves and fridges. Therefore, I have some work experience in this field. I will be travelling with my friend Vincent. He does't have that kind of field experience, but he learns fast and does not mind physical work. He also worked for an electricity firm as handyman. So it would be a demand for two people.

Antes la empieza de los estudios (el último semana de julio) quiero tener una semana (aproximada) en una finca afuera de DF para praticar mi español y tambien aprender más de la agricultura sustanible. Tu granja parece como un muy bien lugar y me gustaría trabajar alla. Estoy segura que sería una experiencia maravillosa. Espero que es posible!
Reading about your farm and projects on the WWOOF platform brought a smile and inspired me to ask if there are any ways I can help?
For 15 years I’ve been working on sustainable food programs with restaurants that I helped build in Poland and California. Now I’m riding a motorcycle around the world, and exploring the roots of good food and the people who help it grow. I’m filming a series called OneTankAdventure.com, where we challenge chefs to create purely local dishes. The goal is to stimulate appetites and promote sustainability, and be a vehicle that celebrates diversity and cultivates tolerance.
Along this journey I’m visiting WWOOFs. During the recent 3 months I work / lived on 2 WWOOF farms in the jungles of Costa Rica. Here I’ve done a mix of works from photography and marketing to designing spaces and creating experiences for guests. I’ve also cared for animals, maintained land and water (including a hydroelectric dam), and helped harvest. Curiosity about different people and cultures, and consideration for the planet motivate me.
I’m currently riding from the Darien Gap northward thru Central America to Mexico. It would be a pleasure to speak with you and explore whether there’s something we can do together. I can be available for short and long durations from a few days to a few months.
Internet connectivity on the road can be challenging, but I always reply as soon as I get a message.

I travel around mexico for 3 months (Untill the 29th of January) and I look for doing some woofing because I'm interested about agriculture, livestock, eco-building, sustainibility living and I think is a nice way to discover the culture.

My name is Justin and I'm traveling with my girlfriend, Annie, from Seattle in the USA. Back home I am working on a doctorate degree in philosophy. I have some experience volunteering on organic farms as well as WWOOFing. This past year i have also been doing some sustainable forestry work. Annie is an artist and she currently works on an organic farm on the Olympic peninsula. We are hoping to find a place where we can WWOOF for about a week starting next week (some time around the 7th but we are flexible). We are both really interested in learning more about the food and herbs you grow as well as the indigenous community. Please let us know if you would be willing to host us at this time. Thank you!
