I have a very diverse background and am looking to utilize my skills while re-connecting with the Earth and understanding the need for future sustainable living practices. I started as a back country river guide in Grand Canyon National Park in 1991. The “job” is an adventure unto itself and you inevitably become an amateur geologist, botanist, natural historian & interpreter, entertainer and guide through rugged, beautiful and a sometimes dangerous environment. As a guide I developed a profound caring about the natural environment and feeling of responsibility & stewardship toward the land.I also worked on rivers in Utah: The San Juan & Green Rivers as well as the Salmon & Snake rivers in Idaho and I fell in love with the idea of alternative living and a healthy eco-system. I have volunteered with the Nez Pierce Indians at the Wolf Education & Research Center in Idaho in 1999 when the re-introduction of Wolves was in its infant stages in the North Western U.S.In the Grand Canyon I started building trail on a crew utilizing Pack Mules and Pack Mule Strings. I am very good with handling livestock and love working with animals.
I have considerable PR experience as well: I worked in Television as Producer for a live Television talk show in the state of Arizona called A.M Arizona on AZ-TV and I often developed and included environmental segments into the program. I have excellent communication skills, can help with public outreach programs. I spent the past 4 months travelling in Asia focusing on the journey with in the self. I studied Yoga: Hatha, Ashtanga, Pranayama, Mantra & various meditation practices. With great reflection I feel I would like to embark on a journey learning and promoting sustainable agriculture, farming, gardening and living. I would love to be considered as a candidate for apprenticeship or helping with projects on Organic Farms throughout Central America.
Hola,
Mi nombre es Jazmine. Soy de Canada. I am learning Spanish right now on my own in preparation for my Mexico wooffing trip. I am planning to leave Canada in September and stay in Mexico for 6 months. I am looking for a safe farm to go first and stay for a bit while I get used to Mexico and speaking Spanish. I have a little experience in organic farming, I have lived in Radium BC for this past spring and summer learning how to cultivate, plant, and keep a large market garden and small greenhouse. Most of the produce we grew here was potatoes, carrots, garlic, and pumpkins. I am very energetic and fun loving person. I have been to Mexico many times since I was 6 years old and ever since then I have fallen in love with the country, the people and the land. I am on a soul searching journey to find my true self and my courage and independence.
If there is room for someone like me in January I would be pleased to hear back and I will continue working on my Espanola until then.
Thank you for your time,
Jazmine Rose

hello,
I'm a bright, enthusiastic and positive new WOOFer who is going to be in Mexico for the next month. As well as a love of nature and self sufficiency, I also practice yoga and meditation daily and am keen to deepen my practice. I am a writer, and seek only a place that I can contribute positively and work on my writing. I have a degree in literature, and worked with homless adults in london before coming to mexico. I'm experienced with working with mental health needs. learning difficulties and other support needs. I am learning spanish too so maybe this could be a great exchange?
Looking forward to hearing from you, let me know if you need help.
Sorry our spanish is not very good but we will improve quickly, we're sure! We are two french travelers(one girl and one boy), going from Canada to Argentina! We will be in Mexico for the next 2-3 months, from the 1st of October. We will be great to come at your place to help you for at least a week or two (depending of your needs). We have already been working in farms in Australia for a couple of months. We are hard workers, very energetic and willing to help with your project. Please let us know if this could work out for you and if it's ok, which date would be better for us to show up.
Hola!
Your Project sound really very interesting for me. Me and my friend Martina (we are 22 and from Austria) are travelling from California to Brazil and will be in Mexico the next month. I know you want only longterm volunteers, but I'd really like to visit your project as it sounds so interesting for me. We don't have that much time, so we would like to visit for only 1 week. We don't speak very well spnish, but we look forward to learn it. We also don't have a lot of experience with organic farming, but we are willing to work and to learn. You were asking for some talents, so I could offer Shiatsu Massage, it's also very good for children.
Just let me know if we could visit you, even if we would stay just for such a short time.
Hola!
My name is Heather and I am genuinely interested in volunteering at your farm. I love yoga, and am a vegan so primarily eat vegetables and fruits. I'm from Seattle, Washington and am in Mexico currently. I came to Mexico on a whim. A friend of mine is house-sitting in Barra de Navidad, and after 2 weeks of staying with her I came to Guadalajara. I don't speak much Spanish, but I'm trying to learn quickly. I was wondering if you have any space available. I'm able to commit to a month, but if you prefer I may consider a longer stay. I apologize for the short notice. I'm new to wwoofing, but am excited to become involved. I am available immediately, so let me know if we can arrange something :)
