Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I shop at local farmers markets and grow my own basil.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I have a few goals with WWOOF Mexico: 1. I want to experience the lifestyle of working long days outdoors under the sun (out of the office!), 2. I want to adopt a regimen of good exercise, a natural diet, and a healthy distance from technology, 3. I want to connect with the earth and gain a greater sense of where the food I eat comes from and what it means to work for your own subsistance. 4) I want to learn Spanish. 5) I want to take everything I've learned and the perspective I have gained from working on the farm back with me to Los Angeles, where I will pick up my studies in public health and serve the international community through education and health advocacy programs.

Hi William,

Thanks for letting us know. Enjoy yourself in Chiapas, it's a beautiful state...in many ways like Veracruz!

Let us now if later on you decide on traveling in this area.

Saludos!

Rogelio

Hey William,

we do and could use help on the farm..
we require at least a 2 month stay. Hours are from 8-4 5 days a week, and half a day on Saturday, (8-2)
sunday is off
We may request you do some work at the experimental garden in P.V. for the first week or so that you are here.

we supply room and some board, (what we harvest and 250 pesos credit from our website for other food items)
there is a phone and internet at the farm house, which is a lovely adobe in the cowboy/mexican small town of Tuito, which is a one hour bus ride to P.v. in the hills.
How old are you?  Are you of good health? are you on a special diet?
let me know when we could have a phone interview
This work is not for the faint of heart, but working with a well seasoned organic farmer from Canada, with 25 years growing experience in mexico..
thanks for the note.
