Hola!

I am a botanist who is traveling from the United States. I have a passion and talent for growing plants, collecting seeds, making compost, and sorts of things like that.  I also brought my tent, and other camping gear and even before I realized you are in the Sierra de Gorda, I planned to travel there to see the sotanos, and other amazing natural features.  I plan on travelling to Queretaro tomorrow, and will stay one or two nights there.  I was in the process of making plans to go to Pinal de Amoles, and check out the biosphere reserve for a few days, but I am totally willing to come help out on your farm in the next few days if it fits in with your schedule as well.

I am not necessarily a vegetarian (trayo que no como carne por razones medioambientales), but am very comfortable eating a vegetarian diet, and would love to learn more about cooking with spirulina!  I also do not smoke, and have lived with children before, so have developed some patience :)

I should also let you know, that the link on your "Farm Page" does not work, and I had to search the WWOOF website for XILITLA in order to be able to send you this message.

I wrote down your cellphone number in my journal, and will give you a call in the next few days if I don't hear back from you.  I am very excited about the opportunity to come visit your home and farm, and hope we will be in contact in the near future!

Gracias! -Chris

hi there!

My name is sam and i am from the US (also in the midwest). Two friends and i are doing a road trip through mexico and south america on the pan american highway. The three of us have started learning spanish, we are all at a basic level, but working hard to learn quickly. We have looked at your farm and found it to be very intruiging and delightful. We are very hard workers and would love to come by for two weeks and help you out if you had room for us. We are going to be in the area in late december (23rd or 25th) and be staying for two weeks. Please let us know if you can accommodate us and if we can help you. We have done simple farming procedures in a kibbutz in israel, but are not very experienced in the work we will be doing. We are quick learners and open to anything! We have all worked with children as well, at camps and programming activities! Thank you so much for your consideration.

Hello Spirulina Viva,

Your farm has caught my eye and I am looking to reach out for communication in hopes of potentially working and learning with you.

I am twenty three and have been studying medicine for the last few years. I reside in Canada Alberta. Recently I took a career path change as I do not believe in the current health systems in Canada. I am fascinated by the cultivation of Algae and know of the intense health benefits it has sea greens have had on my own body.

I generally eat vegetarian, am a hard working and curious creature and appreciate the idea of interacting with little beings. I've never worked on a WWOOF before and have a gentle grasp of spanish. I've back packed through Argentina and Chile in 2010. I spend time partcipating in gardening and inside vegetation in my own home with a strong focus of Sprouting. It yields super food in a quick and delicious manner. Although I'm sure it's nothing to the delicious bounty of Spirulina you enjoy!! :)

I understand your ideal stay is 2 weeks with a discussion after. I am looking to stay roughly a month or so though appreciate and respect your guidelines.

I looked up Las Pozas  with 'Edward James' and the surrealist art along with a huge jungle adventure sounds like the kind of place I'd like to visit.

I believe that the best kind of trade is not with money but in time/energy/love/and knowledge. As per specific time of visiting I haven't decided as of yet and am interested in sharing conversation as to what might be best for your farm needs.

Cheers and look forward to hearing back form you.

hola Spirulina Viva,

Hola Spirulina Viva!

My name is Sage, myself and my sweetie Jean-Nathan are traveling down from California through Mexico and WWOOFing along the way. We like to get our hands down in the dirt and work hard but have fun too! Both of us do garden and farm work back home and we want to wwoof along the way through Mexico to meet the people, learn about each place, work hard, share food (we love to cook), share laughs, make friends and make music!

Hablamos espanol, podemos entender mejor que hablar, pero estamos mejorando nuestro espanol con este viaje a Mexico.

We would like to stay for about a week but no more than two weeks if possible either in late december or january.Let us know if you might have space for us at Spirulina Viva!

Muchas Gracias! Thank you so much,

~Sage & Jean-Nathan

Hola!

Gracias!!

Hi my name is Oliver.

I'm a British National travelling in the America's. Currently I am with my sister in Gunnison, Colorado. I have travelled independently for many years. Staying in hostels and camping, even sleeping in my car on occasion. So am quite used to staying in different situations.

I have volunteered for an organic small holding in England. Where the ethos was Working for Health. The farm helped unemployed and disadvantaged people gain more self esteem through gardening.

I look at WWOOFing as a great way to meet people and experience different countries and cultures.

I really enjoy working with my hands. I particularly like the challenge of building work.

I have my own reliable transport and plan to be in Mexico before Christmas. But if that doesn't work for you I can delay arriving at yours until the New Year.

I am flexible as to how long I stay with you.

Thanks,

Oliver

I volunteered for an organic small holding in England. Where the ethos was Working for Health. The farm was a not for profit business which helped unemployed and disadvantaged people gain more self esteem through gardening. I worked alongside the trainees on most occasions. But I did direct the trainees once in a while.

I really enjoy working with my hands. I particularly like the challenge of building work. However as long as the work has a practical aspect, I'm happy.

I have my own pretty reliable transport and plan to be in Mexico before Christmas. However if that timing is not convenient for you? I can delay my arrival to suite yourself.

I am flexible as to how long I stay with you.

I look forward to helping you grow your project.

Thanks,

Thank you,

Hello my name is michael and i'm interested in meeting your farm.

Im traveling since september and mainly woofing. I stayed in a biodynamic farm at a family in Quebec (Canada) for 3 months: participating in harvesting vegetables, preparing greenhouses for the next planting period, caring for plants and herbs. I also took care of animals (pigs, chickens, cows) and did construction works along with general house tasks.

I come from France where i did program in nature conservation; For my training period, I visited  different kinds of agricultural farms and i had to realize a project aiming at accompanying a farm in a sustainable development which included agroforestry.

I have also visited a spirulina farm and i found very interesting all the aspects of this algae; secondly i like the way those people were looking for autonomous ways of living (energy, water..)

I want to visit mexico because i m very attracted to the culture (ancient mesoamerica, pyramids, temples) I want also to discover the vegetation and animals, the climat and the wonderfull geography of mexico

Currently, i m in connecticut in usa, and i m going to texas for a meditation retreat (vipassana center) So i will arrive to mexico around the 16 of february and would be very happy to come and help out;

I would like to stay with you 2 weeks and i agree  with the rules of your farm

Thanks have a good day

michael

Hello!

My name is Benjamin, I am a 23 year old currently traveling throughout mexico in a 77 camper truck with my good friend (also a member of wwoof mexico), and my incredibly well behaved 4 year old heeler mix dog.  I am traveling in hopes of gaining skill sets for growing myriad vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices.  The prospect of spirulina culturing and farming is incredibly intriguing, and though I have not worked with spirulina it's self, I am relatively familiar with aquaponics and hydroponics systems, and would love to learn as much more as possible.

Our time frame for arrival dates and duration of stay are incredibly flexible, as the trip it's self is dictated by the agricultural opportunities that present themselves to us.

Let me know if there is the chance for us to stay with you, we have our own place to sleep wherever we go, and are both hard workers, passionate, and quick learners.

Thanks for your time, and we hope to hear back from you!!

Thanks for the kind response Katie. Definitely keep us in mind should the opportunity to host us for a bit arise. The uniqueness of your farm really intrigued my sister and she won't stop talking about Spirulina Viva :) We'd love to get involved. We'd possibly even extend our trip a week or two into March if things lined up better for you. Good luck with the move. Take care. Kelly.
