Hello Eric,
This is Mar and Ed, a responsible and positive couple who believes in respect, peace and love, friendship, and giving back love and care to Mother Earth. We are easy going, strong and fit, university educated and love nature and adore dark skies.  We believe in a balance of spirit, mind and body.
We want to see the beautiful Mexico at the same time that we work hard volunteering.  We have made a lifetime commitment with ourselves and want to live a sustainable lifestyle that is harmonious with our planet and we are excited to learn all aspects regarding permaculture, natural building, organic agriculture, energy, eco places and more.
We came across your farm and would love it if you would consider having us to be a part of it.
Our start date and time commitment are really flexible starting from September 6th, we dream of going all over Mexico.
A little about ourselves: Ed has experience as a trainer in physical culture which includes a balance of exercise, nutrition and recuperation as a means to good health and has helped many people to better their lives.  Ed was also the gardener of a large commercial lodge in Michigan.  He is a scientist and a mathematician by training.
And I am a free spirit, I love to sing, to dance, to smile, to be true to myself, to help others. I'm an ecologist at heart and I love to get involved in things to help, I have a huge spirit of service. I have had experience in volunteering in a farm taking care of the animals, planting lettuce and zucchini, preparing a room for new painting, helping in the kitchen and cleaning rooms.
We ran and managed a rural lodge in the USA and are experienced in all aspects of hospitality.
As a couple we are able to communicate in English, Spanish, Italian and French.
I really feel that Ed and I have a lot that we can contribute to your project, good vibes, hard work, joy and we learn fast ;)
If there is an available room and/or space on your farm and you need help, we would love to give a hand.  We are open to short or long commitments whatever suits you better.  For us it is important to learn all the knowledge possible for which we would be truly thankful.
We hope that we can meet soon.
Thank you, have a great day and hope to hear from you :)

Mar and Ed

Hola Eric!!

We are a mother-daughter duo traveling in Mexico to learn more about our neighbors to the south and how to live in harmony with the earth. We are passionate about healthy soil, sustainable food systems, and  meeting people who live life joyfully.
In Colorado we have a urban farm consisting of chickens, aquaponics, and an organic vegetable and herb garden. We want to bring back new techniques to our little farm as well as contribute to the work on yours.
I have completed one year of university and am now interested in getting experience in farming before continuing my studies.  My mom, Lynn, is taking a leave of absence from her job as a middle school principal, to think about sustainability from multiple angles including sustainable agriculture and sustainable educational reform.
We are currently working on a WWOOF farm in Las Barras, Mexico, planting for the farmer's market in Mazatlan. We finish here in mid-October and could come in late October or November.

We both speak Spanish and English. We are easy going and hard workers.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hola Eric :) ,

We are Grégoire Tison and Maxime Wallon, we come from Belgium, and we are two new WWOOFers. We are 18 and 19 years old. We speak fluently english and we have some bases in spanish.

We are really interested in your eco-project.

We are ready to help the others and to change utterly our lifestyle in profit to your organisation ( to live self-sufficiently and promote local agriculture and products, to participate to sustain your habits). Life community is for us and we really like animals !!!

That’s why we would like to join your ranch «  El Reencuentro ».

But we have some questions to ask :

Firstly, is it possible to join you between the 12th november 2014 and 28th april 2015 (so approximatly 6 month) ?

Secondly, as we said above we come from Europe, so is it possible to have one room for two because it’s impossible for us to take a tent in the plane and to camp in your farm ?

Thirdly, we will surely arrived at Toluca  international airport, do you take care of our transport or do we need to take public transport ?

Fourthly, are there  frequent public transport (coaches, taxis) and any stores nearby ? That bring the question about : what do we need to take with us such as : walking shoes, farming clothes, soap, washing materials, rain clothes … etc

Finally, is there any mobile and internet connection in your farm to communicate with our family in belgium ? And do you have a little idea about the budget of pesos that we need during our journey in Mexico.

We are already enjoyed by your answer.

Buenos dias.

Hey Eric,

How´s it going? My boyfriend and I are planning to travel around Mexico for the next few months. I´m from Ireland and he´s Mexican. We were traveling around Quintana Roo but right now we´re back in Toluca, Jafet´s hometown. I´m 20 and he´s 22. We are planning to hit the road again in the next couple of days and would love to join your farm. I don´t have a lot of experience farming but the experiences I have had I´ve loved, I find working with the earth incrediably interesting so you will have my undivided attention. As for Jafet, he grew up on a farm so he knows his way around.  I´ve been WWOOFing in Belice and  we´ve both been WWOOFing together in Quintana Roo.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Shannon

I would love to work at your farm through some of this Winter or Spring. I'm twenty, from Minneapolis, MN, on a college gap year. I was a part of some green and food justice initiatives last year and have a little experience farming, more in groundskeeping and cooking. Really interested to learn more about the pace if you can talk!

Dear Eric,

I am inquiring about the possibility for your farm to host me as a volunteer for around a month, from the 1st February to the 27th February. My name is Youcef, and I am a 18 year old student who has just finished my A-levels. I am intending to WWOOF for a month before I start travelling around central America as I would love to learn Spanish as well as the local customs. I am particularly interested in your farms eco-projects as well as the idea of learning to live self-sufficiently, a skill I would love to embrace and take away with me. The location of your farm is also stunning and surrounded by true natural beauty which would be a wonderful opportunity to experience.

I am also particularly interested in all your projects and would be happy to contribute to any tasks which are given to me as no harm comes of learning new skills.

I have no previous experience with WWOOFing although I do own a large cactus collection which are like my personal babies. I personally care for these Cacti and regularly re-pot, tackle outbreaks of disease (e.g. meley bug) and have also carried out tasks on my parents allotment such as digging and planting seeds. I can also offer you skills such as determination, dedication, discipline and positive energy.

Hopefully hear from you soon

Youcef :)

Hi Eric,

I would like to join your farm during November this year. The project you've got for December looks sick but I'll be heading back to Switzerland early December sadly. This'll be my first WWOOF-ing experience although I've work on farms in the past, dairy cows (milk & cheese), medicinal plants and haymaking.

I've previously worked as a web developer but didn't bring any laptop over. I'd gladly be giving a hand thus. My mother tongue is French and I speak fluently English. Although, I'm a bit of a beginner at Spanish. I'm looking forward to improving that. One last thing about me, I'm 30 yo, don't smoke, drink or do drugs which doesn't prevent me from having fun.

Please let me know if you'd enjoy having me over for around 4 weeks during November. I'll surely be delighted. Kindest regards!

Yoan (just like Juan)

Hello Eric,

In parallel to my industrial engineering studies, after a short term at the Athenian University of Agriculture (that I decided not to complete for ideological reasons), I developed a very strong interest in permaculture techniques and worked in several organic farms, some of them following Massanobu Fukuoka principles (such as Panagiotis Manikis).

Planning to travel next December in Mexico following my interest for zapatism movement and community, this trip would be such a great opportunity to join and volunteer in an organic farm for a month.

Could I join your community to work as a volunteer?

Meanwhile, I stay at your disposal for further information’s.

Many thanks and best regards,
