Hi Wally,

My name’s Rob. I’m an Australian, living in Barcelona, Spain, with my wife, Alai and our two kids, Lander (3 1/2 yrs) & Naia (2 yrs).

I would like to ask if you welcome families with children?

We are planning a 2-3 month visit to Mexico between October & December 2014. Last summer we spent some time helping at a permaculture project (campa paja in northern Spain - http://www.permaculturacantabria.com/campamentos/campa-paja-2014). We would love to repeat the experience at a suitable project.

To be clear, we would like to participate as fully as we can, working & learning, within the bounds of what is possible with young children, and would be happy to stay for up to a month.

If you do welcome families, and need an extra hand some time during those months, I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Rob.

Hello Wally,
This is Mar and Ed, a responsible and positive couple who believes in respect, peace and love, friendship, and giving back love and care to Mother Earth. We are easy going, strong and fit, university educated and love nature and adore dark skies.  We believe in a balance of spirit, mind and body.
We want to see the beautiful Mexico at the same time that we work hard volunteering.  We have made a lifetime commitment with ourselves and want to live a sustainable lifestyle that is harmonious with our planet and we are excited to learn all aspects regarding permaculture, natural building, organic agriculture, energy, eco places and more.
We came across your farm and would love it if you would consider having us to be a part of it.
Our start date and time commitment are really flexible starting from September 6th, we dream of going all over Mexico.
A little about ourselves: Ed has experience as a trainer in physical culture which includes a balance of exercise, nutrition and recuperation as a means to good health and has helped many people to better their lives.  Ed was also the gardener of a large commercial lodge in Michigan.  He is a scientist and a mathematician by training.
And I am a free spirit, I love to sing, to dance, to smile, to be true to myself, to help others. I'm an ecologist at heart and I love to get involved in things to help, I have a huge spirit of service. I have had experience in volunteering in a farm taking care of the animals, planting lettuce and zucchini, preparing a room for new painting, helping in the kitchen and cleaning rooms.
We ran and managed a rural lodge in the USA and are experienced in all aspects of hospitality.
As a couple we are able to communicate in English, Spanish, Italian and French.
I really feel that Ed and I have a lot that we can contribute to your project, good vibes, hard work, joy and we learn fast ;)
If there is an available room and/or space on your farm and you need help, we would love to give a hand.  We are open to short or long commitments whatever suits you better.  For us it is important to learn all the knowledge possible for which we would be truly thankful.
We hope that we can meet soon.
Thank you, have a great day and hope to hear from you :)

Greetings!

We are two first time wwoofers looking for honest hard work in Mexico. We have decided to leave our home and pursue a life which we hope will have greater meaning. We are coming prepared with the most minimal possessions and hope to sow the Earth and live only from the "fruits" of our labor. We are leaving our phones behind and seeking a more authentic experience.

My name is Claire Langerak. I am a 25 year old female with some farming experience. I have worked for several local CSA farms in Denver, CO and gardened commercially for the Denver Botanic Gardens. I also maintain a home garden. I am a certified yoga teacher and would love to offer classes to everyone and anyone. I speak some Spanish.

My traveling companion is Mike McKibben, a 27 year old male with limited farming experience but a true desire to learn, create, and work hard. He is a poet and artist ready to make his whole life into a work of art. He genuinely enjoys using his body and is ready to do meaningful work.

We are so willing to work and give of ourselves. We began this journey on Thursday and have slowly been making our way down the Pacific Coast waiting to hear back from someone.

We hope to be hearing from you soon!

Mike & Claire

Hola Wally!

We are a mother-daughter duo traveling in Mexico to learn more about our neighbors to the south and how to live in harmony with the earth. We are passionate about healthy soil, sustainable food systems, and  meeting people who live life joyfully.
In Colorado we have a urban farm consisting of chickens, aquaponics, and an organic vegetable and herb garden. We want to bring back new techniques to our little farm as well as contribute to the work on yours.
I have completed one year of university and am now interested in getting experience in farming before continuing my studies.  My mom, Lynn, is taking a leave of absence from her job as a middle school principal, to think about sustainability from multiple angles including sustainable agriculture and sustainable educational reform.
We are currently working on a WWOOF farm in Las Barras, Mexico, planting for the farmer's market in Mazatlan. We finish here in mid-October and could come in late October or November.

We both speak Spanish and English. We are easy going and hard workers.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello Caroline, A month and a half would be great.  You'll be sharing a nice house with a Mexican woman who works with us.  She is very knowledgeable about many things.  You can learn many fine things from her.  The area we live in is very beautiful as well as bountiful.  We've spent over 20 years planting and caring for the land.

It's hard to say about whether you should come by bus or plane.  If you were able to fly into Tepic, Nayarit the capital of our state you'd be an hour away from us.  If you flew into Puerta Villarta you'd be 2 and a half hours away.  Our village is Aticama, it's near San Blas.  Our phone number is: 327-102-6974.  I think you need to investigate price and time when you choose between bus or airplane.  Let us know what you decide and we'll work with you on getting here.  My e-mail address is hwallycarlson@gmail.com.  It is easier for me to communicate directly.  I find the WWOOF site a bit confusing.  Bye for now  Wally
