Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I worked on the University of Washington farm from 2013-2015 focusing on soil and compost. I also participated in the WWOOF program and helpx in 2013. I had the chance to start a garden at a sustainable B&B, learn about native Mediterranean plants at a nature park, begin to learn Turkish at a hostel and experiment with drip irrigation in the fruit orchards of Burdur.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I am looking for opportunities to work on organic farming and sustainability projects. I have been traveling/wwoofing since July 2015 and have been actively trying to learn Spanish during this time. I just graduated from University of Washington with a degree in Environmental Science. I have participated in WWOOF before and had incredible experiences. Working on farms is one of my favorite parts of life. It’ll be great to see what sorts of innovations small scale farmers are coming up with outside of the U.S. I'm particularly interested in soil, compost and bees and would love to help with any respective projects. Other than farming, I'm really into dance, biking and Turkish language and culture.
