Farm in Cajones, Guanajuato

Farm is 10 acres in semi desert climate.  The farm intention is
sustainability through aquaponics and organic farming practices.
Lemuria center is an educational center for mind, body, heart and soul
workshops and sustainable living practices.  The current project is
preparing the earth for planting herb, edible flower and native plant
gardens and getting set up for csa farm share and Caring for the
plants and fruit trees already on the farm.  The work requested for
the stay varies per project, but will generally be about 5 hours per
day 6 days a week.  Accommodations will generally be an individual or
queen bed (for couples) in a shared room and bath environment
depending on the number of people here at the time.  We share in meal
preparation and clean up and I provide fruit for breakfast, and one
large main meal around 2:00pm.  Rancho Lemuria is health facility and
meditation is a frequent activity - so no smoking, no drugs, only an
occasional beer or wine is permitted at the center.  Musicians are
appreciated, loud boom boxes are not.  Minimum stay is 3 days, maximum
stay is 3 months depending upon ability to integrate with us.  Rancho
Lemuria is a sacred site, within walking distance to ancient
petroglyphs, a huge reservoir, and close to the beautiful and historic
city of Guanajuato and the pyramids.  There are a multitude of birds
and interesting insects, as well as rescued dogs and cats at the
center.  Languages generally spoken are English and Spanish.  Bus
service is available to and from the center into town is just 1 minute
walk away.
