What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
My name is Annie Reed. I live in northern Vermont, USA and teach ecology at the Community College of Vermont. I also do gardening and landscape design for local clients. I have a large organic vegetable garden and chickens and grow enough food for myself and my neighbors. I am an eggs-and-dairy-eating-vegetarian and I enjoy cooking! I would like to do Wwoofing in Mexico this winter because the winter in Vermont is very long and snowy and nothing grows. I would like to be in a warm, sunny place where I can be outdoors in the darkest time of the year. I would like to do what I love: spend time gardening and helping with outdoor projects. I love having dirty hands and knees! While I work with you I would like to improve my Spanish . I studied it in school a long time ago. I can still read it but I need to practice speaking and listening. I would like to work with you during my winter break from about December 20 to January 20. Please let me know whether you can use my help during that time.

Hi Annie,  I would like to invite you to check out our place:  Slow Living Farm in Aticama, Nayarit.  We grow our vegetables and have chickens like you but in a tropical climate on the Pacific.  We have been a wwoof host farm since '06.  Visit our listing to see photos and specifics about us

I am very interested in your farm. I am hoping to be in Mexico around the beginning of the 3rd week in January and could stay with you for a month if you have space. Please tell me what you would like and more details about what I need to bring with me.

Thank you so much for your contact!
Best, Annie

The third week in January fits us perfectly.  You will need supportive sandals with a back strap as our terrain is hilly and rocky.  Light weight long sleeves and pants that dry quickly, shorts, sunscreen, repellant if you use it and a headlamp.  If you want to carry on a conversation you can email us directly at hwallycarlson@gmail.com

We look forward to meeting you, Annie!

Hello Annie, I lost a little contact. Te comenté que es muy importante que hables algo de español? El 18 de enero estará bien recibirte en la granja. Por favor contáctame en: manduj@hotmail.com para que te envíe más detalles que te ayuden a tomar esta decisión. Buen viaje y buena onda.
