What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?: I live on a small organic farm in Austria, so I have some experiences. At home I try to help as much as I can. For example, I help with mowing the fields and planting trees on the mountain. I also do feed the animals and harvest the fruits. At the farm there is always a lot to do but I love to work in the nature and with the animals. The feeling of doing something with your hands is incredible.

What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?: Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better

What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?: My name is Bettina but my friends call me Bez, which I prefer. I’m a very spontaneous and always open for every fun. I love adventures and trying new things, furthermore I’m also motivated to learn new skills during working. Skiing, Snowboarding, Skating and Hiking (in summer and winter) are some of my hobbies, in general I like every activity I can do outside. My motto is to always stay in a good mood, because life is much more fun when you go through it with a smile  and take it easy. I’m a very social person and I like it to have a lot of people around me, I normally make new friends very easily, because I’m not afraid of starting conversations. If I think about myself in future, I see myself working in a team or with people and maybe also outside. I’m very connected to the nature, that’s because I grew up on a small farm in an even smaller village and I nearly have spent my whole childhood outside. Playing in the woods, helping my dad with the farm work and exploring the nature were my favourite things to do when I was a child.
