Ideas for an edible landscape

http://www.oklahomafood.coop/edible.php

This link is to a speech by the Oklahoma Food Coop organizer Bob Waldrop. He talks about his personal edible landscape and gives some good ideas for starting your own. Seems like he has a lot of permaculture ideas designed to make gardening easier and more bountiful.

A form of mulching that leaves the grass or original ground covering intact before creating a garden bed. This is done because sod is one of the most biologically active layers in a yard. I took a week at Ecology Action with John Jeavons (founder of Bio-Intensive gardening) in Willits Ca. Some 8 years ago.
I got a crush on it, and decided to do it myself.

Took some years but in the end I became a Raw foodist and a deep lover for nature and its plants and creatures.

And what about you?

Hi Sarah,

I am getting a late start to puerto vallarta, i am leaving tonight and will pull an all night bus ride. But I am so very anxious to get to the BEACH!

How are things on the farm? Did you ever make it to the market on Sunday?
At 12:36pm on August 21, 2009, Frances Ruiz said…
The market sounds cool. Unfortunately I was not able to go because my aunt sells stuff at the market in tonala. I felt bad asking her to take me so instead i helped her and walked around this insanely huge artisian market. Well whats up with mike i guess he is starting to like the house, i can understand Humberto is great. please let everyone know i said hello. good luck on your next journey i am sure it will be bountiful.

Just to thank you for your devoted work to our project while you stood in our farm. We appreciate your good attitude and being so proactive. Also the easy way you have to relate with people. Great interest in learning, always writing down what´s learned.
You have a special talent to work with others, even with the most unsocial ones, congratulations.
We wish you the best of times during your travel through Mexico and that you find very nice people and places in your journey.
Thanks for all the help and your ever lasting smile.
Welcome back whenever you wish.

Enjoy
Humberto Moro
