My advice is the same as Harmony's. I have not traveled through Mexico before, but I plan on flying into Puerto Vallarta and using the bus system. I have heard great things about it.

I live in a rural area in Sinaloa and the bus system is wonderful and really the cheapest way to get around, they go almost everywhere.

I think that you might like it here. I have a little two hectare organinc farm where I am growing veggies and cut flowers for the Mazatlan organic market and for my little eco resort in Sinaloa. the Barras de Piaxtla is a little fishing village in a Federal Environmental Protection zone in Sinaloa. How long would you like to stay, the minimum is 2 weeks but if we have volunteers who want to stay more, they have priority. If you want to come in june, write me again in may so we can see the availability.
