Maiz Criollo and Criollo Cattle--the theme for this season. We began a project helping the local Pima Community grow native corn (maiz criollo) two years ago--it is working and we need to grow more corn--build a seed bank and continue with this line of work.
We also work with criollo cattle..for grassfed beef. More on criollos later.

Often people romance the idea of living on a remote ranch in the middle of nowhere but seriously folks--this is sustainability at its best and it is hard work. Slow food, building with earthen materials etc..not a quick run to town either--8 hrs round trip on foot (30 miles). So please, if you want to come here commit and stay the period of time that you committed to--because someone who wanted to come here was denied the ability because you were taking the space.

We are full of climbing WWOOFers..working in the morning on various projects and climbing in the afternoon.
