Hi! I am Sofia, and I am currently living in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. I was born in Chiapas, Mexico, and grew up in MX, Bali, and New York. After graduating with my degree in international business two years ago, I have been travelling. I ended up in Tulum in 2016 and lived there for a year, working in event organizing for a hotel called Habitas. I later spent time travelling through Mexico and fell in love with what I got to know. My experiences have shaped my dream to one day begin a farm for friends and family and to ultimately live as sustainably as possible. I have worked on an organic dairy farm in Ireland. Apart from dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt) made from the milk of their 9 goats and 5 cows, the farm was also involved in the production and sale of vegetables and eggs from both chickens and ducks. I would like to continue my education in agriculture, and more specifically in the growing conditions of different regions of Mexico. I will be in Mexico from November 11th; tentative return to the US in March. I would ideally like to work for 1-2 months. Thanks for taking the time to read! You can see the farm on this website or on my webpage at:www.larosaorganicos.com. we sell organic produce at the Mazatlan Organic Market on Saturday mornings starting on November 16th. I have lived here for 20 years and have had organic farms in northern California and Washington before coming here. We are now at the height of our planting season and could really use some help.
