Profile Information

What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I was a volunteer at Hackney City Farm in London which pioneers organic farming methods. We regularly held low impact living classes on the farm and are an integral part of the dynamic community of Hackney. I have 6 weeks WWOOF experience in Mexico also.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
Having left a career in the London bar and club scene I have been on various volunteering jobs in the UK. I've always wanted to learn about Mexican culture and Organic farming so how happy was i when i found out about WWOOF! I now have some precious free time on my hands and want to use it wisely. I am fun loving, easy to get along with and will put in all the effort needed to get the job done. I am currently traveling in Mexico and plan to be here until February 2010. WWOOF tastick.
I have spent 4 weeks WWOOFing in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo with Renato and his family. A tough environmen to farm but I learnt a lot. And 2 weeks in San Christobal De Las Casas with Kippy, Esteban and Allejandro. Lots of new experiences and new friends. Its been a great learning curve already and i want more...

Hello Tyvian,
You are welcome to come during November. Your work in Hackney sounds interesting. We will have a fruitful exchange. You can work here with our two young Mayan- and Spanish-speaking employees who are expert vegetable growers. They´re hard workers and very good people. There is shared space available in the dormitory behind La Casa del Pan on Calle Real de Guadalupe. It´s also possible to camp at the garden, which is about 3 miles away. It´s getting cold here now, but the vegetables grow all year ´round.
Best regards, kippy
