Hi Solomon,
We have space for you in November. We request a minimum 2-week stay. Can you do this? There is always a lot to do and a lot to learn.
Best regards,
kippy

Hello Solomon I am Jackie a woofer here in Finca Argovia, Bruno ask me to arrange everything for the new woofers coming to Argovia.

We wont have any trouble if you want to come to the Finca before,
when in November will you like to come? and when in December are you planning on leaving?

Let me know so we can prepare everything alright?!

Good Luck!

Hola Sol, how are you, we are really excited about your arrival! So here's the deal, to get to the Finca by taxi will probably be too expensive, so I will recomended that if you want to travel like people here do it well its sorta of complicated it but definitive cheaper and more exciting.

From the bus station you can take a taxi to the mercado San Juan that wont be more than 30 pesos ask them to drop you at the Esplanada del Mercado San Juan and then you can take one of the colectivos (bus) to ZARAGOZA, from there it will be a little more than an hour drive trought the Sierra Chiapaneca they are suppose to only charge you 15 pesos! so dont let them charge you more, then ask them to drop you at EDUBIJES OR FINCA ARGOVIA, there you will see a sign if you feel lost or confuse ask anyone for the offices of the Finca, go to the offices of Finca EDUBIJES and then ask DON LUPE or anyone else who's there to call the office at finca ARGOVIA to come down and get you otherwise you will have to walk and chances are youre going to get lost lol

It sounds overwhelming but just follow instructions and chances are you will make it =)

here's the adress

Dirección
Argovia Finca Resort
Finca Argovia, carretera Nueva Alemania Km. 39+2 Tapachula, Chiapas.
Tel. (52) (962) 6262966

In case you want to take a taxi okay? good luck!

Ok Solomon, No problem.. Got to know, Now that you are arriving on Monday, maybe you want to know of an easiest way to get up here?

Well 4 blocks from the bus station youre going to find the offices of Argovia in Tapachula
there if you arrive early enough you will be able to get a ride to the Finca with Don Narciso, he comes down to argovia almost everyday and he comes up around 2 or 3 pm, but not necessarily he can either leave earlier or later so as long as youre there at 12 am I promise you he will wait for you.

You can take a taxi to the offices It wont be more than 20 pesos, here's the address:

21ª calle Privada Oriente # 70

Entre 7ª y 9ª Norte

Col. Instituto Tapachula

Tapachula Chiapas

30700

Tel 962 6266115

962 6254610

Jackie, good trip!

Ya I had fun! My kitchen work lasted only two days because I was so bored with nothing to do all the time...so I worked in the beneficio instead. The new family was very nice and interesting. They ended up making a loom for weaving and making a clay stove for the workers and their families. I am now in Mexico city. I helped my friend move out of her house...and well I kind of fell for one of the students that came to the finca and I wanted to see what I could make of it. So I am delirious! lol I guess you never know. I will be in the city for the week then to San Cristobal, Palenque and maybe Costa Rica, then to Peru when my brother joins me in February. After that I think I would like to try coming back to Mexico city and get a job teaching english, and hopefully do some other interesting volunteer work. We well see ; ) How about you? Where are you heading? or have you found a job?

Feliz Navidad

Hi Sol
Good to hear you made it out of the farm alive. Have you seen Anna on your travels to DF? Learning any more spanish?
I was in Guatemala and Belize for xmas, had a great time. Now I am in Guadalajara for a bit, taking more classes and hopefully working or Woofing.
Keep in touch!

Hi Solomon, I saw that you were thinking about going to Ejutla Oaxaca to work on the farm. I am also interested so I wanted to know if you made it there and what your experience was like or if you would recommend any other farms anywhere in Mexico.

Thanks,
Cara Weber
