What is your previous experience with Organic Agriculture and Sustainable Development?
I have experience in construction, gardening, some farming. I worked at a sustainable coffee shop as well that did a direct exchange with local farms.
What are your reasons for joining WWOOF Mexico?
Learning about sustainable living and agriculture, Getting to know Mexico better
What do you want the farms and fellow WWOOFers to know about you?
I just graduated from college and am looking for some time to reflect while doing some work for others' dreams and sustainable agriculture. I am really here to learn, grow, nurture my soul, and do some tough manual labor for a meal. I am into documentary filmmaking which is why I am exploring Mexico, to find a story and I want to be living and working on a farm for a while in October, November, and December 2012.
I'm not sure of how much work we'll have in cultivation at that time. We have volunteering work in other areas but we require a minimum one month commitment from our volunteers. If you would like to know more about our program please visit our website www.tashirat.com
Our volunteering program is a study exchange program, if you read through our program on our website and are interested please let me know and I'll send you some updated information.
Anna:
No problem with the dates, just contact me again one week before comming.
Accomodations are very nice, you can follow some pics here: http://www.breathitation.com/index.php?categoryid=14&p17_sectionid=6
You three could stay in one room.
No, you do not have to pay any fee for food or anything.
We serve two meals a day, breakfast and lunch, 10:00 am and 2:00 pm aprox.
Monday thru Saturday at the farm.
Farm is 3 miles from the lodging facility, wwoofers transport themselves on bicycle that we provide.
We ask for 6 hour voluntary work, 5 hours at the mini farm and one hour at the house. Everyone takes care of doing their beds, dishes and keeping the place clean.
We suggest you all bring gloves and hat for the field work
We have a small auditorium at the house where you can see movies during the nights and we can teach you Organic Farming as far as you are interested in learning.
Farm is in the process of getting ready to be a mini-school for the local people, so there is all kinds of diferent tasks everyday.
You´ll have fun.
Any further questions, please don´t hessitate to ask.
Anna:
It is fine, I just want to remind you that transportation to the farm is done on bicycle that we provide, do you and your two friends ride bicycles well?
Ana:
It is you and your brother and girlfriend that are comming? Or any plans changed?

If that´s ok for them, then no problem.

I'm sorry, we won't have room for 3 volunteers in June. Also, we require a minimum of 3 weeks stay.
